Hello Comrades,

MAILING LIST

This is the coming of the newest instalment of the Culture and Camaraderie podcast with Tyler @Lax_Era and myself @NYTypical. On this weeks most thought provoking introspective industrious creative discussion:
We have a great conversation about the mind behind the creative process along with some of the suede crew. YES!!! In this episode we feature some voices we haven’t otherwise heard apart form Tyler and ARAH.

Why Andre 3000 Has No Confidence

Why Andre 3000 Has No Confidence

After listening to the Rick Rubin and Andre 3000 conversation we take a deep dive into what he meant, what he means to us and creatives and what we feel when we hear him speak like that as well as how much we relate to him. Taking guys on an audio adventure exploring what it takes to produce at a high level and a high frequency.

What really puts that in the mind of an artist as well as the mental health struggles that come with it, taking us to Kanye and Jay Z and Pharrell and Rick Rubin to name a few that perform at a high level and have never stopped unbeknownst to the public.

How to Break Creative Anxiety

Theres such a sinking feeling that comes with not being able to create/ put work out that it hurt, and we lack the ability to resonate with our own work. So the question is what do we do to naturally move past that, sometimes that comes with even posting stuff you think is terrible but for the most part that discovery of why do we even post in the first place is so critical. So we really delve into this topic on that basis.

How Do We Know Our Work is Great

One of the most crippling things as a creative is finding out people hate your work. It tears you up inside. If we feel our work is on that level of terror it will grip us and paralyse us. That sinking feeling is a big part of the conversations we have.

Still on the topic of music I ask the crowd whether or not any of them understands the clear case of responsibility we have to the next generation to create. our work has to exist for them, getting out of our own way is a big deal as an artist, so I tell the team that may not know this is how it is.

We get into all that and more on the long podcast.
