Hello Comrades,

MAILING LIST

This is the coming of the newest instalment of the Culture and Camaraderie podcast with  myself ARAH of @NYTypical & Tyler @Lax_Era.. On this weeks most thought provoking introspective industrious creative discussion:
This podcast has a U.K. feel to it bringing it back to some of the fundamentals that built this podcast. Being U.K. Culture, Marketing and making the right moves in the public and getting paid what you’re worth. In all these things it’s the participant that dictates what happens when, most of us don’t think we do have a choice or say in anything that happens in the outside world. So conversation ensues.

Wiley Vs Stormzy

The Godfather of grime vs a participant. Wiley airs his grievances out on social media and escalated to a heated sym clash.

An almost difficult thing to navigate unless it was planned. Stormzy sent for Wiley in ‘Wiley Flow’ and Wiley didn’t take so kindly to this till it ended up in a heated clash where mums were involved.

This clash was really a show of how Wiley can pull the best out of Stormzy and the best grime flows. Although Stormzy isn’t grime through and through it’s the best thing he does and Wiley would rather Stormzy understand he is a participant and grow the scene. Stormzy after getting fame from the scene does not see it that way. So the brawl continues.

Justin Beiber and his team decided to activates his fan base to fix streaming numbers and get his Yummy song to number 1. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this happen and it’s becoming more and more apparent that the number 1 spot is a bigger negotiating tool than ever before. We don’t have a solid idea why but when the biggest artists in the world like Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled and Justin Beiber are not happy with second place we can gather there is a bigger game afoot

An Interns Worth

There was a big conversation about this on Twitter. Paying interns. Full wage and that got me to thinking, is it ideal to have someone with no experience be touted for a position like this one. So they are basically being paid to work slow and make more mistakes. And then when it’s minimum 2 years experience for entry level positions the young are up in arms at the fact they can’t get work. But are not willing to put skin in the game to make it.

We get into all that and more on the long podcast.
