We go again,
With my men’s heels post which I certainly am intrigued by I find writing about Shoes very interesting. Especially as it’s where men really put much of our efforts in terms of how we express ourselves, which is why I decided to do the boot season post as winter is nearing closer and closer. Now I’m here with what I think may be the closer to a trifector – the style suggestion portion – not to out there & not what everyone else may obviously be doing already but a real look at where the fashion forward are putting their eyes and where I like to look considering the time of year it is
Christopher Raebun X Palladium
These are really something they have actually been thrown in my face a lot by the hypebeast, I don’t know what it is about them but I do kind of dig them. I’m usually one to turn away from all that’s advertised to me just as a rule of thumb -honestly as I look at these they really remind me of the Margiela moon boots mixed with a couple other style options. But at £170. they do style well at that price point which is sincerely important to me when I recommend something purely visually. I enjoy just looking at these, I can’t speak about comfort but the design is modern & colours are cool enough for me to consider them on the list
Style options: paired with skinny jean or slim fit, ripped denim with a plain white tee and leather jacket or aviator jacket
Dr Martens – Creepers
Definitely part of my own personal agenda. Creepers. Something you can get at all price points from £40 to £200. These have been on my hit list for a very long time I love to make ugly look wavy since 2012the pug of walking shoes or boot – I don’t know – they just cute af to me… and I don’t care who knows it. Hitting that lower price point tells me they’re gaining a larger and larger market for the people who accept them which means my job is almost done. Pair it with a checkered suit or houndstooth overcoat & turtleneck and be the coolest guy in town. I don’t care just get them
Style option: pin stripe trousers or high cut skinny trousers with colourful socks and patterned shirt to match top off with a block colour beanie or strapless hat
Cat Intruders
Super new to my purview I don’t have the most care for these and they may be done 3 years from now but what I know is that they’re under £100 and they’re obviously sturdy as they’ve been made by cat which really makes its own point to make the most comfortable industrial boots along with joining the ugly dad shoe swag they kill two birds with one stone (and yes I said swag they’re dad shoes, makes sense)
Style option: high cut striped trousers paired with colourful socks and oversized jumper or biker jeans with coogie sweater
Nike SF Airforce 1
for the culture if you’re not a big style guy or super anti fashion or into the ugly swag but want something techy that kinda incorporates all of them cop the SF-AF 1 even sound like a fighter jet. Make you feed into that insecurity of makin sure youre cool because they’re nikes (like theres no ugly nike shoes(sounds like a blog idea)) and you want a lukewarm intro to tech-ware in your wardrobe these are for you. You know they’re not the most comfortable or stylish or anti-fashion but they are Nike so there’s that.
Style options: army tech trousers with bucket hat with plain jumper and utility gilet or cargo camo jeans with utility vest and earth tone sweater/hoodie
I think there’s something on this list for everyone and no matter who you are, if you’d like to know how to style them find me on Twitter I give out free fashion advice @nytypical just DM me. I find it fun
