Nigo is such a massive superstar in the ‘streetwear’ space he has to be mentioned amongst the greats when it comes to Harajuku. Many speak of Nigo as the main Head of the iconic Nowhere Store, when Jun was right there.

Before Nigo was King of the Hypebeasts he was enamoured by screen printing camo and comfortable clothing that would be adopted by the most prominent culture Hip Hop.

Nigo and Hip Hop

Pharrell would link arms with Nigo after their jeweller in common Jacob would link them like a Cuban and they would share ideas and thoughts and Bathing Ape in Lukewarm Water would be part of the zeitgeist. we would get the most iconic Wayne picture above. Bape would even being the stem of a feud between Clipse and Cash Money of who really bought it to America first. The answer being Pharrell. Who said it in a song first? We don’t know. It just keeps producing great music.

Bathing Ape would Don Nike iconic Air Force 1 canvas never being sued either so Bape bad iteration after iteration better than anything Nike bought out at the time concerning the Air Force 1 Mould making Bathing Ape Bapesta part of the most iconic sneakers of all time having Kanye West Bapestas goon for upwards of $3000.

After Bape

Nigo would sell Bape to one of Japan’s biggest fashion conglomerates I.T and move on to Human Made and Billionaires Boys Club along with Pharrell. Now running his own music Label Toy’s Factory.

Yeezy and Big Baller Brand collaborate for the Culture — The Triple B Yeezy — Lavar And Kanye Wests creation

We go Again

I see this so clearly in my minds eye as the right thing to do. On the occasion where you can have two people who garner global attention such as Lavar Ball and Kanye West you expect something to come from them as a producer.

I cannot see one reason why they should not have a collaboration, the Yeezy Brands superior Technology and Big Baller Brands in with basketball culture and creating an alternative space where student athletes can practice their skills and get paid for it having a Triple B Yeezy basketball shoe on The Ball Brothers feet is an independent businessman’s dream. The only thing that can get in the way is the fact Yeezy is an Adidas Company and BBB can be considered a competitor, with Kanye’s non compete looking the way it does could make the sneaker non Existent.

Let’s make the speculation though, if we were to guess when Kanye West and Lavar Ball would collab I would say on LaMelo Ball’s draft day. Seems far enough out that Kanye would be in talks of signing a new contract LaMelo will have enough buzz round Melo as a star* in College will be high and he’s practically guaranteed he will be a top 15 pick off merit.

That’s when you strike while the iron is white hot, right now the frenzy for yeezy has died down the generation is grown up out of college and working they don’t have time to be hyping Yeezy. But! This can all be rectified with one great collaboration — grabbing a whole new generation who Respect Melo as one of their greats — this is what they were meant for to Turbo charge an already great Brand that runs on superior design and technology it will only Advance the cause if you get the future Jordan of the League. Not comparing Melo to Jordan in skill but in attention and respect for his skill he’s garnering he’s up there with the Greats of his generation.

If LaMelo were to by some miraculous reason play with his brothers the stars will truly align with Kanye and Lavar this time. Where technology will meet hype in the ultimate cross over of sportsmanship and genius.

In writing this I have gathered an even greater respect for the collaboration if it happens and want nothing more than for it to happen.For hip hop, for basketball, for black culture for independent business people everywhere who want to build their own thing. To show them collaborating across and not up can work just as well.

How YZY is losing market share as a Luxury footwear brand. — Kanye Wests folly

We go again,

I have wrote so much about yeezy put it down, sang it’s praises, seeing it as a game changer and now I’m in limbo. I don’t exactly know what to think however I believe I can articulate my feelings moving forward and we will see what happens.

When the first 350’s came out they were highly coveted, I had no idea why and saw them as an over priced roshe run. — This was before me understand fabrication and material technology. — we move on to the 750 I was enamoured and wanted nothing more than to own a pair of the Yeezy uggs to this day.

when my love for yeezy blossomed and I started watching them hit the market again and again with concept after concept killing the game with the V2 Zebra and Beluga so highly coveted then the 700 wave and the 500 alien. I started looking at them differently because of the innovation with materials mixed with the comfort technology in the boost I was really riding with YZY company & I still am. You can tell by my pervious blogs even the Top Sneaker Releases of 2018 I saw it right up their with the React X Undercover personally.

This isn’t an indictment but when the CEO says Steve Jobs I think innovation and one step ahead of the game and as YZY is the only company to consciously compete with Nike with totally new concepts I had to give it to YZY company every-time right now I don’t see that happening in fact I don’t see the hype for YEEZYs I’m used to seeing no one are talking about the dessert boots and it seems Nike has cornered off YZY in the customising space once again.

I still have hope see because flyknit did follow the 350’s and Chimera alchemy did follow the 700. Nothing could follow the Alien 700 as that is patented technology or maybe the OFF-wht ODSY have out done yeezy for this year.

Even so I’m hopeful this year YEEZY will into something more than just a mass of colourways which is really just basic money grab economics. See it’s up to YZY to regain its prominence in innovation and become undeniable because the CEO lost the trust of his foundational market by endorsing things the people couldn’t trust in and all that social equity got depleted. There’s something to be said there as to why CEO’s are so quiet and the political artist but that’s different blogs for different days.

The love for the company in the black community seems to be lost but because of the bridge Kanye west built to Korea China and Japan sales are holding up somewhat but as I said the market shed seems to be gained by Off-Wht and Louis Vuitton and Versace.

The mantle for best is really up for grabs this 2019 and I see it as YZY company has to design some Steve Jobs level sneakers for that equity to build back up again.

I wrote this a in January I suppose. And my cover was from the 14th of December and never made its way to me till today.

I saw it, more so the man beside Kanye and wondered a little bit, although Yeezy is still making some of the Best trainers with the best technology everything has been outshined.

With all the antics out the window, the move I’m seeing are the coldest and no one wants to talk about it. I’m fully okay with that but that adds to my point, the social cache is so low only the real know.
