The arrogance of the bachelor – degrees of separation

We go again,

I’m really conscious and that makes me annoyed by certain things that aren’t conscious something I have to deal with. This is my therapy though, to write about things in hopes it becomes a learning experience for my peers and mentees

This is not the same for my contemporaries, some of my peers are the most educated (by schools) in their family so they have an arrogance about themselves that they align with what they think their position in my community should be.

Me being the man that I am take it seriously when people are educated and I’m proud of my brothers sister and others for making it out.

The Folly

A folly I’ve seen is they believe their “expertise” or subtle learnedness or position in a company or rank of their university is equal to status and thinking that we must listen to them. No. This is the downfall of so many educated people, the entitlement of the people just like those with wealth feel like they’re entitled to the people eat because they made some money.

The folly of my folk who believe that one degree can define their status or allow them access to conversations that don’t concern them they have no information on or only have a surface level interaction with the subject. It’s okay to say you know nothing.

The folly of the newly educated generation is to want to seem like they need to answer for everything or have the answers for subjects that their brain does not compute or relate to. It breeds pedantic behaviour, we don’t need that it’s okay to say you don’t know something.

Fear of the unknown

That’s what people are afraid of to say you are unaware when you are one of the few with a degree. A degree means you learned how to pick up specialised knowledge through a system, you can repeat that but if you haven’t took the time to relearn your specific input on that subject is unnecessary.

It makes me uncomfortable to call out my learned peers on being unlearned when that’s what they pride themselves in. It’s a must though because misinformation is a scary ethic that was used against us to make us think we were lesser so in this Renaissance we must leave it behind if we are to have a better future.

Editors Note

In life there are checks and balances that need to be taken into account when disseminating certain information. The ramifications can be dire for sharing information that’s false or malicious or besmirching so one (like me) takes steps to ensure my opinion is posed as opinion, I am fallible and my statements of facts are just that facts.

Empirical evidence I share is separate to my opinions and philosophy the two can be exclusive but they may also be mixed and I make a conscious effort to align my philosophy to evidence. Which means I do research heavily on topics and edit myself where I can and input facts where the details are needed

The Sneaker Stock Market – Ups and downs of sneaker Buying Holding and Traders

We go again,

Inn the years I’ve spent coveting sneakers. Let’s call it 20 years. I have grown to understand some of the faces you will come across, well characters, whom you can spot a mile off in their fits, people are what they wear for the most part. When it comes to sneaker cops and drops they are almost a literal incarnation of the description I’m going to put across.

Hype Beast

We all know about being a hype beast and fiening for a good drop from a highly coveted designer but I’ve noticed people get confused with Hypebeast – hypebeast is a term for entry level consumers just getting into fashion or more commonly someone that’s into all the highly coveted pieces for Jawn, fit checks flexing & other IG like purposes.

Botmen

The people who ruin drops for us normal people but if you have a bot sincerely i HATE YOU. I am here to buy a couple cool things that are to my taste and here they come rinsing everything out to resell. Hate that & them. Till I get a bot and become one of the bot men.

There’s no way the average person can get a drop because of these guys now. They hack ever drop

Flexers

Them man there and the celebrities that will spend whatever money they can on garms just to look desirable, because that’s what they do to grab the youngers attention.

They try it the youngers buy it, it’s like promo on steroids it’s what got the Milano skate brand off the ground for ASAP Ant who doesn’t skate a lick. Same with Kith and Supreme

Editors

these guys will paint cut strip and customise the clothes to their own liking making them originators they are my personal favourite type of people they even keep the AF1 alive and give free promo to any company there is out there because of what they do, like I said they keep the AF1 alive.

Tried to manipulate the Yeezy but it’s hard to paint on that fabric which is why the AF1 is a classic. Because of them. Salut.

banter aside, I have to talk about hype jackets because these people aren’t in it for the love they’re in it for a different game.

Hype jacking would be seeing people are into these things and buying only to resell and flip for an extortionate price. These guys most of the times are just kids, newly into fashion and just want to fit in somewhere. Look like their favourite rapper and consumed with the flex. And here you are swiping garments from under them not because you like the designer – which is not something you can say about these young bucks, knowing a designer is key to them. – but because you see what is selling and you want to cash in and cash out on the culture. Please have some respect and leave these kids alone, I’m not necessarily a purist but I do just love the game and am welcoming to all parties. The trash some people get up to I just can’t jive with.

Spring of the Rookie – Yoon of Ambush

We Go Again,IMG_4813 2

The lady of the season, Yoon hailing from Seattle making waves for Verbal and herself with working for Dior and Nike using the Ambush name and stamping herself as a woman of adornments.

In winning the Bvlgari Avrora inspiring woman award there’s something to think of when thinking about Yoon.IMG_4823

Not just a stunning designer but an innovative mind bringing a partly Japanese aesthetic with an American mentality to business she’s really astounding.

Knowing her from The 3/11 Japanese Tsunami short with Pharrell, I thought they were quite comfortable, fresh and assured of themselves. They started right and steadily with steadily they grew their brand sustainably along side their music in this fusion of culture creativity and total Japanese essence.

Some people take for granted the Japanese as just an anime nation but when you delve deeper it is resilient and powerful that’s what they embody with their glossy neon cloths and outlook for them, with Ambush, they created something they can be more than proud of.

The Dior appointment as head jewellery maker had me for a loop, the well made mechanic art for pre fall had people talking and those accents were hard to stand out on a well made collection of desirable clothes but she matched the intensity with stand out rings and knuckle dusters the collection was well rounded in my opinion

Now the Nike collection as well as their own sneaker made for the people. And the most desirable *jade fur coat (at least I call it jade). The tech pack capsule looks Chique and feminine

Editors Note

I like her because she’s bought something to the table everywhere she’s gone. Heavily merchandisable and creative, it’s hard to be mad at what she’s done for where she’s gone to.

From head of men’s Jewellery at Dior to having 2 trainers with Nike in their 180 silhouette

I’m really excited to see what she does together with verbal and the exploits of the Ambush brand
